Private: TOP SECRET – Rodger’s SEO Campaign to improve Rankings

My company is currently in the process of launching a whole host of its own blogs, websites, wikis and educational portals. We will be annoucing the full Internet strategy soon. For now all I can say is that I have broken my company up in service and product areas which will each have one or more parts. Here is an example:

LightSpeedDevelopment main site will be a full products and services type of normal public company website. There is a link to the company blah blah blahg. Then we will have a support domain with a general Support Blog, a Support Wiki and then a finally a helpdesk area on the normal WWW page. We will be optimizing different LightSpeed sites on SEM, CRM, robots.txt, sitemaps.xml, etc. The LightSpeed Network and Partners in business will be promoted on a seperate site. All LightSpeed employees are given a CO.ZA domain name of their choice and encouraged to build their own websites, blogs, wikis, etc. This will generate a fair number of different sites and varied content to work with! Yay! This is so much fun!

Charl Norman, a friend and colleague has been working closely with his in-house WordPress Guru known as Foxinni are collaborating with us to develop network of blogs and websites that will benefit each other by create a strategic link strategy with original content on all sites/blogs. They have done an excellent job creating all of their different blogs. We have decided to try to rank these various blogs for various related keyword phrases in different social networks.

Infin8 – This company was started by young entreprenuer Charl Norman who is also the editor on numerous other related blogs and Chairman of Zoopedup Car Club. Infin8 provides custom web design and graphic design to all sizes of company’s, in many different industries throughout RSA and abroad.

Comic Jock – This is a new foxinni/infin8 project which should prove to be a little more difficult to optimize for SEO as it is primarily image based blog with very little text, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Two nifty html attributes that can be used are the “alt” and “title”.

Bandwidthblog -This is still very experimental, but we should be finalizing the content and strategy soon! Thats what this whole exercise is about, trying to learn more about the site’s target market and then to focus all of the sites on their relevant niche target areas.

Basementguru – BasementGuru features established and young and upcoming webmasters that have achieved great heights in their respective fields. If you are webmaster and want to be interviewed then contact the guys on this blog.

Cape Town Blog – The Cape Town Blog will serve its audience with updated news and events that will be happening in and around the Cape Town Region. From Live Shows, Events, Conferences, Festivals, Gigs, Concerts and more to keep you entertained. There will soon be a savage creature called Savage Henry joining the ranks of the Cape Town Blog. I will announce some more on that soon! This blog is aimed at assisting the people, Cape Town Blog just ties the ends together to weave a online carpet of events happening in our beautiful city.

Monkeysfist – Psytrance blog with artist interviews, album reviews, vst-plugin information, general news and much more. This is a must for any Trance-Kop or underground music lovers.

Foxinni - Foxinni is Malan Joubert a young and very talented designer who can create powerful and tasteful websites in WordPress as

Then finally there are my two favourite Geek Blogger Social Networking types! They are none other than brother and sister – Dave Duarte and Max Kaizen! I will be working hard on ranking them higher and higher for various keyword terms. We have already started this research, but things got a little mad at the beginning of the year till now and I have had very little time to focus on these blogs.

Max Kaizen – Max is a reality hacker & hunter of genius… I look forward to working with Max.

Dave Duarte – Dave is a marketer with a hefty predisposition towards tech strategy. He uses his blofg as a medium toengage with stakeholders in his business who range from customers to suppliers and Brand Evangelists, its not a direct sales tool, but is also an interesting space to to test ideas.

To conclude, this a whole load of work that I have taken on, but at least the people who I am working with understandwhat we need to do really get some good ranking! Yay! Excitement as I now leave for the 27dinner!
